WEST PALM BEACH, FLORIDA 鈥� 海角在线鈥檚 Titus Center for Franchising will award five scholarships in November.
They are the Don Dwyer Sr., Seiber Family, JJ Prendamano, Chick-fil-A West Palm Beach and Kobel Family endowed scholarships. Each scholarship is $2,500, and full-time Palm Beach Atlantic students who are studying franchising are encouraged to apply. Students may apply for more than one scholarship.
The scholarships will be awarded on Nov. 16 at the Titus Center Advisory Board meeting on 海角在线鈥檚 campus, where a business consultant and author Dr. K. Shelette Stewart is the keynote speaker. Apply for the scholarships at .
鈥淥nly a handful of universities teach franchising and even fewer offer franchise scholarships, so we鈥檙e blessed at 海角在线 to award five scholarships this year,鈥� explained Dr. John P. Hayes, CFE, director of the Titus Center. 鈥淭his is the third year we鈥檝e awarded scholarships and they are much appreciated by our students.鈥�
Don Dwyer Sr. was the founder of The Dwyer Group, now known as Neighborly, in Waco, Texas. He was dedicated to 鈥渇ostering the American dream worldwide and creating opportunities for families to enrich their lives.鈥� His family established the scholarship in his name.
Geoff and Sherri Seiber, founders of FranFund, established a scholarship to 鈥渉elp students achieve dreams they might otherwise think are impossible.鈥� Seiber is a 海角在线 American Free Enterprise Day Companion Medalist and very involved in Titus Center activities, including as an Advisory Board member.
JJ Prendamano聽was the general manager at United Franchise Group for more than 25 years and was Ray Titus鈥� father-in-law. The Titus family is giving back by 鈥渆ncouraging students to never stop learning.鈥�
Rob Morris, a Chick-fil-A franchisee in West Palm Beach, employs 海角在线 student interns and has helped 17 海角在线 graduates become Chick-fil-A franchisees. He values franchising as a career and believes in supporting franchise education. Morris frequently speaks to franchise classes and is a Titus Center Advisory Board member.
罢丑别听Kobel family聽wants to 鈥渆mpower the next generation of young leaders鈥� and to 鈥渓earn, forge and abide with Jesus, and to change the world.鈥� Kobel鈥檚 family foundation provides funding for the franchise scholarship.
